God help me, I think I'm into MiniMates...

Let me start by saying:

FUCK!

It all started with SDCC, where I went hog-fucking-wild with money, and basically bought everything I've wanted for the past year or so.

The ONLY thing I bought that I had no intention of keeping were the little MiniMate bastards.

After looking at them for a while, I opened a Gaijin Wolverine n Mariko set. They were charming little things, but nothing I'd want a whole bunch of, or I said to myself then. After a while, I got the itch to open the other 2 sets I had bought at the con, BD Captain America/Punisher and the Magneto/Prof. X set.

I'll be damned if the Mags/Prof. X set wasn't cutest fucking thing ever. Normally, I detest cute, I find it disgreeable.
I also hate block/mini figures. But these little bastards are growing on me...

But, as I type, I'm pricing the rest of the goddamn things...all 6 series. I will give them this, though, they are pretty cheap...and they don't seem to go up in price...

So, (and this question is mainly for Mr. Bungle or UrashimaNick), who would you guys recommend to buy the little fuckers from? Who has the good deals? So far, www.toyfever.com seems the most reasonable ($19.99 for sets)

Also, if someone could give me a rundown on exclusives that haven't or will not be offered in later assortments (like Silver Surfer and Grey Hulk are), I'd be much obliged.

Hmmm... I guess anything around 20 bucks should be good. Retail is 6.99, so anything in the 20-25 bucks range for the 3 parts of a series should be good.

Exclusives? Like you said, Ultimate Spidey, Grey Hulk, Rhino, and Silver Surfer are going to show up in series 7, so dontbother going back for those. (btw, 7 will hit the West Coast Wednesday, and the East Coast the following Wednesday)

I guess the other exclusives would be the set variants. The first three sets had:

Visorless Cyclops
Black Elektra
Black Costume Spidey (hardest to find of the 3)

Series 4 & 5 had:

Unmasked Doom
Unmasked DareDevil

Series 6 is the Stealth Ironman, and series 7 will be the Cameleon w/ Jonah mask.

Then there's the Venom w/ Toungue, which was a Walmart exclusive at first, but then DST allowed people to mail away for one. They ran out before I got mine [img]frown.gif[/img]

There was also a Gold Spidey which was given away at some convention, but dont evenbother looking for that one. I've heard it go for 400 to 600 bucks on eBay. INSANE.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, the only exclusive that seems worth hunting down for me is the Peter/MJ 2-pack from last year's con. (and maybe the black Spidey if I can find it)

I already found an ebay auction with all of series 2 and the Pete/MJ pack for like $30 bucks BIN...I'm gonna go for it when I get back to my house. (I'm out of town right now)

It seems to me that series 1 is gonna be a bitch to find...

The Giant Size set is fantastic - the Colossus & Cyclops are two of my favorite Minimates out of everything released [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Awesome, they should be here by the end of the week. I also just won two BIN auctions on Ebay.

One for Series 2, which includes the Peter Parker/MJ set for $30, and another for Series 3 for $15. They're from the same seller, too, so I can hopefully get a decent shipping price.

You wouldn't happen to know where I could get series 1 (the Hulk and DD sets)), would you? Aside from Ebay, I mean...
